Today we want to immerse you a little more in the history of our cabins, we want to involve you so that you can understand why they have tree names and how we came to decide on these names.
We must confess that the names were chosen once the construction of the cabins was finished, the result of indecision and a brainstorm so great that it made the decision very difficult for us.
The cabins are surrounded by native Galician forest and an Albariño grape plantation, and after thinking about it a lot and considering ideas such as different types of grapes with Galician designation of origin, places close to our location, names of houses that were important in the village where we are, we decided that the best thing was to give the forest the prominence it deserved and that’s when, during a walk and observing the great variety of trees that our carballeira contained, we saw it clearly, the best option to baptize our cabins were the trees that surrounded them. Walking we knew that a cabin had to be the Carballo, the quintessential tree that made up our forest, secondly we decided on the Castiñeiro because the branches of this tree slipped onto the terrace of this cabin and decorated it naturally, the Acacia thirdly, a large tree that is present in all our fine, the Loureiro widely used in Galicia especially in the kitchen to flavor numerous dishes such as seafood or stews, the Sobreira could not be missing, from it the matter is extracted raw to make corks for wine bottles and finally the Abeleira, a tree that, despite being small (if we compare it with other trees in the forest), is located at the entrance of the cabin that bears his name and gives variety to our forest.
And so, after deciding on the name, we thought it would be good if each cabin had its own personality and it occurred to us to put an image on each one, an image that would represent and differentiate them, because each cabin has its own personality.
