October 15, RURAL WOMEN’S DAY
A day that we want to dedicate to MARÍA and MANUELA, our women and our source of inspiration.
Manuela, María’s mother, was widowed before getting married because of her partner’s march to the Civil War in 1936. She, a rural fighter in the 1930s, had to get by on her own, with a daughter and with no other option than work the land where today they settle
our vineyards, cabins and our future winery.
María, the daughter of a single woman, has been a worker since she began to walk. With a difficult childhood and an adulthood marked by her work as a mother of 5 children, wife, rancher and farmer.
They are an example of work and resistance, in honor of them, their effort, their courage, we decided that our project would bear her name (María Manuela), to never forget her struggle, her example and her integrity.
In honor of my grandmother María, and my great-grandmother Manuela.
Your granddaughter, Adriana.
